Mike Muetzel is one of the top lacrosse coaching resources in the country, as well as the only lacrosse coach to have been recognized by his peers as a US Lacrosse High School Coach of the Year as well as recognized by his peers as the SELC DI Coach of the Year following just his second season at Auburn University.
Coach Mike is also a popular speaker at the US Lacrosse Convention as well as conducting numerous coaching clinics across the United States, on his passion, Transition Lacrosse.
Mike helped initiate lacrosse on the southside of Atlanta and was the first coach at a new program at McIntosh High School in Peachtree City. Just four years later McIntosh played in a memorable classic double overtime State Championship game versus Lovett.
As the former Director of Coaching for the Copperheads National Travel Teams and has coached the U17 and U19 National teams to seventeen tournament victories across North America, including the U17 Dick’s National Championship Team won by a team exclusively with high school players from Georgia.
Mike developed a website, laxcoachmike.com which is the largest, lacrosse coaching website with 10,000 Free members and well over 1,000,000 page views as a dedicated resource for over 10.000-member lacrosse coaches for lacrosse coaches with 185 hours of podcasts with the top NCAA Lacrosse Coaches in the country.
In addition, Mike has authored five top selling eBooks on the changing philosophies of coaching youth and high school lacrosse. And his coaching tree includes close to 50 former players now coaching Youth, High School and College Lacrosse. In his “other” life Mike is a nationally recognized author and Leadership Consultant helping organizations for over 20 years.
